Like most of us, When I 1st see this car I didn't like it, then at 2nd glance I thought.... Quite like it, now months in the making, I'm totally obsessed by it, absolutely LOVE IT!! The most famous and talked about mk2 to date, my favourite model to date! This like the real car is a serious MONSTER!! Never to be replicated again. I've built it myself, as you probably know??

I've been modelling for more than 30 years, im lucky enuff own mk1 & mk2 escorts, I'm a self employed professional panel beater and sprayer by trade, work on these cars every day, I know these cars inside out, upside down (literally) Hence everything on this car is sooo right! Like the real thing this started out as brandnew Sunstar rally car model, Never been on display, stripped of every part.

Rally arches ground off , inner arches cut away, then the scratch built "bad boy" kit made around the shell using real car body filler, days and days of filling, sanding to sculpture the arches, bumpers, side skirts and spoilers to the correct shapes with all seams and joins showing with extended bumper corners and back panel, basically the whole car made from scratch from the waste down! Heavy primed and painted in a real car spray booth, with real car MATT BLACK.

Awesome decals painstakingly applied over the top. ENGINE: My own Millington Cosworth made from a resin block, one off big bore manifold, Added exposed cam pullys, cam belt, Throttle bodies Complete with ITG detailed air filter, added leads and Millington script on cam cover, alloy looking rad with tape on slam panel, detailed the rest of the bay with custom made plumbed up external strut absorbers in the correct colour, highly polished real alloy backbox! FULLY STRIPPED , made up a mad Full roll cage, bars correctly positioned and added everywhere inc X door bars, painted silver and lacquered throughout, Rare set of correct quality Kevlar looking Recaro bucket seats, complete with blue harnesses tied into the cage, converted to USA LHD correct 3 spoke steering wheel, taller race gear leaver, easy reach hydraulic handbrake, floor mounted pedals, cables running through, fire extinguisher, false boot floor, custom made alloy looking fuel tank, and oil tank, lengthened steering column with added air vent hose, plumbed up rear external shoxs!

MAD EXTERIOR: All "one off".. Looking arches, deep side skirts, deep front spoiler, rubber lower lip, drilled air holes, roof vent, made up big duck tail boot spoiler with added carbon looking lip, back panel totally re-worked and made deeper, smoothed bumpers with longer ends, X tape on headlights, roof Arial, Flat Black paint with subtle looking HOONIGAN script all over the rear end, various other correct decals added along with The much talked about STARS N STRIPES on the HOOD!

Cut door glass with realistic looking WINDOW SLIDERS with runners on the inside! Chassis and body cut about loads to allow it to sit slammed on the deck, over a Awesome set of mahoosive "one off" 17 Fifteen52 style 5 spoke spits, sprayed white, lacquered over, real rubber super wide tyres! Wheels do not rotate, but do steer independently. This is for show purposes only! Pic 10 and 11 shows the internals before completion, sorry smoke in pic 12 not included , neither is the can or the poster. This is not a toy, i advise that you handle it as little as possible, It is a big boys toy! Listed as used, but is a brandnew model stripped then built as a "one off" never been on display from a smoke free home. A one off, means this is the only one like it. I do not replicate my own models either.

If i done this for a customer added up the amount of hours and hours and days i put into this, It would have cost a small fortune. I would love to keep it, but i just dont have the room at home or work. 1:18 scale is pretty big. This is only for the serious collecter and to be well looked after!
